3rd Annual Startup Games Denver Donates $25,000

On Saturday, May 18, Denver was home to the 3rd annual Startup Games -- a fantastic day where 16 companies came together to play a variety of games and raised $25,000 for local nonprofits. Hundreds of spectators cheered as teams took on everything from foosball to Wii Just Dance, cornhole, darts, and everything in between. The competition was fierce, but ultimately Zoom Video Communications prevailed with victories in Darts, Ping Pong, and Flip Cup. With Zoom's winnings going to their chosen charity, Food for Thought Denver, these two organizations are setting the stage to bridge ecosystems between for-profit and nonprofit in the mile-high city. The relationships don't stop there - every Startup Games team walks away with increased team camaraderie and a donation for their chosen charity. While some of our competitors have existing relationships with their nonprofit partner, we also see many companies establish new relationships with local charitable organizations that grow over time, creating a more engaged community. We were so excited to celebrate this event with you for the third time and look forward to returning in 2020!
